Robin Roberts accepts the ESPY's Arthur Ashe Courage awardAn ESPY Award, (short for Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Award), is an accolade presented by the American cable television network ESPN to recognize individual and team athletic achievement and other sports-related performance during the calendar year preceding a given annual ceremony.

This year, the ESPY’s bestowed Robin René Roberts (born November 23, 1960), a 3 time Emmy award winning American television broadcaster best known for her work on ESPN, as the anchor of ABC’s morning show Good Morning America, and, as an inspirational Cancer and  Myelodysplastic syndrome survivor, with the ESPY’s Arthur Ashe courage award.
