So says IMF agent Jane Carter, played by the inestimable Paula Patton, who uses all of her real-life attributes—beauty, brains, and brawn—to inhabit the feisty, violence-prone operative.
In the scene above, Tom, wielding a tight green dress, tries to persuade Patton to use her seductive powers to gather information vital to the IMF cause. Patton, more than equipped for the job, would rather resort to strong-arm tactics than the route of slinky dinner wear. She finally relents, and in the end gets to mix in a little beat down with her beauty.
This is just one of the deleted scenes that come packaged on the Mission: Impossible—Ghost Protocol Blu-ray/DVD combo package set for release April 17th. Blamed for the terrorist bombing of the Kremlin, IMF operative Ethan Hunt is disavowed along with the rest of the agency when the President initiates “Ghost Protocol.” Left without any resources or backup, Ethan must find a way to clear his agency’s name and prevent another attack. To complicate matters further, Ethan is forced to embark on this mission with a team of fellow IMF fugitives whose personal motives he does not fully know. Tom Cruise returns in the starring role as Ethan Hunt and is joined by an international cast that includes Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Paula Patton, Michael Nyqvist, Vladimir Mashkov, Josh Holloway, Anil Kapoor and Léa Seydoux.
