CONGRATULATIONS, BOSS!
Thanks to fans all over the world, Mission: Impossible—Ghost Protocol is not only the highest-grossing film of the four film MI franchise, it’s also the highest-grossing film in Tom’s 30-year movie career! With more than $603 million earned worldwide, it has surpassed War of the Worlds ($591.7 million) to put Tom in rare company: According to deadline.com, in the last 15 years, he has been involved with five of Paramount Pictures’ top 10 grossing films. More than just an action-adventure spy film, M:I4 was a massive physical achievement for Tom. Much has been made about his live-action stunt work, and the Burj Khalifa scenes are fast becoming the stuff of legend. Choosing Brad Bird to direct his first live-action film has also paid off handsomely, as well as the decision to shoot more than 20 minutes of the film in IMAX. So stunning are some of these scenes that people have actually experienced vertigo.
#TeamTC not only wants to congratulate Tom for this great success but we also most sincerely want to thank the fans around the world who made this impressive achievement possible!
Here’s to continued success in 2012!
