Warner Bros. will premiere the highly anticipated Rock of Ages trailer on December 16, but we have it now! The smash hit Broadway musical was directed by Adam Shankman and stars Cruise as glam rocker Stacee Jaxx.
On the radio with Ryan Seacrest, Rock of Ages’s director Adam Shankman (@adammshankman) said Tom was grinning ear to ear during a recent screening and told him he’d never seen a movie like that before. Even though Shankmam jokingly called the movie “weird-good,” Tom has been very vocal in his praise of Shankman’s work, and of the award-winning cast’s.
During his international tour to promote Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, in theaters and IMAX on December 21, Tom parked the Cruiser long enough to talk Rock of Ages with Extra. He admitted that he had no idea how tiring singing and dancing could be and that his hat is off to professional dancers, “I think they’re the best athletes in the world.”
Here Tom talks with Extra about preparing for Rock of Ages.
