How much do you trust your co-worker? Enough to take a 25-foot “jump into an oven?” That’s how much trust ‘Brandt’ (Jeremy Renner) must place in his new IMF teammate, ‘Benji’ (Simon Pegg). The newest ‘Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol’ clip released by Paramount Pictures, ‘Catch You,’ illustrates the uneasy alliance forged by the surviving members of the IMF team after they have been blamed for a terrorist attack at the Kremlin and disavowed by the President.
The scene featured in ‘Catch You’ is actually a precursor to the clip, ‘Fan Jump,’ which was shown during Jeremy Renner’s ‘Today’ show interview on November 18, 2011.
In a departure from the previous ‘Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol’ trailers, behind-the-scenes featurettes, posters and TV spots which primarily focused on Tom Cruise’s death-defying stunts as ‘Ethan Hunt,’ the latest clip showcases a comedic break in the action-packed movie by featuring a dry exchange between ‘Brandt’ and ‘Benji Dunn’ as they discuss the strategic elements in their next move.
Operating off the grid, ‘Ethan Hunt’ (Tom Cruise), ‘Brandt’ (Jeremy Renner), ‘Benji Dunn’ (Simon Pegg) and ‘Jane Carter’ (Paula Patton) must work together to uncover who was responsible for the bombing at the Kremlin and prevent another attack.
Directed by two-time Academy Award winner Brad Bird, ‘Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol’ will be released in IMAX theaters on December 16, 2011 and nationwide on December 21, 2011. ‘Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol’ stars Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Paula Patton, Michael Nyqvist, Vladimir Mashkov, Josh Holloway, Anil Kapoor and Léa Seydoux.
