We know you’ve been pumped up by the behind-the-scenes video clip of Tom Cruise performing his own gravity-defying stunts from the top of the Burj Khalifa, not to mention the latest ‘Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol’ movie poster but now we have the electrifying NEW TRAILER! Woo hoo!
As if watching Tom propel himself around the top of the tallest building in the world, a mile and a half above the ground, wasn’t enough, Paramount Pictures continues to keep the adrenaline flowing with the expanded action-packed trailer.
The super spy team is strategically situated around the Kremlin, about to engage in their own mission, when ‘Ethan Hunt’ (Tom Cruise) becomes aware that all is not well in Moscow. Just moment after ‘Ethan’ tells his team to “abort,” an explosion rocks Red Square. As the ‘Secretary’ (Tom Wilkinson) informs ‘Ethan’ that the Russians believe the incident is “an undeclared act of war” and the U.S. President has initiated “Ghost Protocol,” their car is violently attacked. Disavowed by the President, the surviving members of the team, ‘Ethan,’ ‘Brandt’ (Jeremy Renner), ‘Benji Dunn’ (Simon Pegg) and ‘Jane Carter’ (Paula Patton) must use whatever resources they have to track down the truth. As ‘Ethan’ tells the team, “we can come back with our target or we don’t come back.”
The theatrical trailer caps off an exciting week of ‘Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol’ features. We were captivated by the behind the scenes footage of Tom performing stunts from the top of the tallest building in the world and the newest movie poster revealed that the IMF team has “No Plan. No Backup. No Choice.” as Tom is flanked by Jeremy, Simon and Paula, including the IMF team in a poster for the first time.
The first ‘M:I-GP’ poster teased us with an extreme close up of Tom in a hoodie with a shadowy encryption code running over his face.
