Tom Cruise & IMF Team Have ‘No Plan. No Backup. No Choice.’ NEW M:I- Ghost Protocol Poster!

With a steely glare of determination, ‘Ethan Hunt’ (Tom Cruise) resolutely strides through Dubai flanked by his IMF team, ‘Brandt’ (Jeremy Renner), ‘Benji Dunn’ (Simon Pegg) and ‘Jane Carter’ (Paula Patton) in the latest ‘Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol’ movie poster released by Paramount Pictures.

Disavowed by the President after they were blamed for a bombing at the Kremlin, the IMF team has “No Plan. No Backup. No Choice.” But they do have the relentless drive to clear the organization’s name, even if that means operating off the grid. The firm grip ‘Jane Carter’ has on her gun just confirms the IMF team will do whatever is necessary to fulfill their mission and we can only imagine what ‘Brandt’ is carrying in his bag!

A departure from the previous movie posters with the inclusion of the IMF team, the first ‘M:I-GP’ poster featured an intense close-up of ‘Ethan Hunt’ in a hoodie. Paramount Pictures the unveiled two posters announcing the limited release of the film in IMAX theaters on December 16, 2011. In the U.S. version of the IMAX movie poster, Tom is hanging off the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa, and in the Japanese version of the movie poster, Tom is peering down from the top of the building.

In fact, approximately 25 minutes of the film were shot with IMAX cameras, including the Dubai scenes showcased in the posters. According to director Brad Bird, there was no better way to capture the action sequences shot from the tallest building in the world because “you really feel it when it’s in IMAX,” the award-winning director told the “Los Angeles Times.”

‘Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol’ stars Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Paula Patton, Michael Nyqvist, Vladmir Mashkov, Josh Holloway, Anil Kapoor and Léa Seydoux. Directed by two-time Academy Award winner Brad Bird, the film will be released nationwide on December 21, 2011, with a limited IMAX release on December 16th.
