Just in time for today’s international celebration of Earth Day, the team at TomCruise.com is happy to share some positive environmental news coming from a shooting location of the Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz movie, Knight and Day.
Remember back when we talked about a plane crash taking place in Knight and Day? Well, the property at the end of Curve Street in Bridgewater, Massachusetts where filming took place could turn into a 100-acre solar field!

According to Enterprise News, the site where Tom Cruise crashes a plane is in talks to become a $190 million investment. “You’re looking at the largest solar field east of the Mississippi being located in Bridgewater,” said Selectman Stanley Kravitz. An agreement has been signed to get the solar field project of the ground in two years, with solar panels facing a southeasterly direction that would not be seen outside the field.
“It’s a passive use of the land that provides green energy and will provide significant tax revenue for the town with virtually no use of services,” said Town Manager Troy Clarkson. “It’s the type of sustainable development that Bridgewater needs.”
Watch the scene of Tom’s plane crash – and see Cameron Diaz and the rest of the cast – in the new extended movie trailer of Knight and Day:
Knight and Day made the scene last summer, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get in on the action for Earth Day or throughout the entire sunny season. All you have to do is pick up a copy of the Knight and Day DVD to catch all the action. Take a look below for details on how to get yours today:
