Local Actress Makes Film Debut in New Tom Cruise Movie Knight and Day

When Tom Cruise’s latest movie Knight and Day co-starring Cameron Diaz was filming in Boston last year, local filming locations required a few local actors to fill in, including Miss Nina Darcy of Boxborough, Massachusetts.

According to Wicked Local, 10 year-old Nina filmed a scene at Worcester Airport, holding hands with another child actor at the airport gift shop. During the scene, Cruise pretends to play an arcade game while he spy on Diaz’s character.

She got to work with Cruise himself, noting that, “he was really interactive with everybody.”

A natural actor, Nina said, “I was a very dramatic kid and I really liked performing in front of people. And I loved the attention that I got. There are so many characters that you can play…then you get to go back to being yourself.”

Nina’s father, Derron Darcy, explained that she may break into commercials, or focus her sights on studio films. Either way, it sounds like this budding young actress is well on her way to stardom! I mean, how many aspiring actors get to say they’ve worked with Tom Cruise in a movie?

    Wow. Could you even imagine? I would love to work with Tom Cruise… when people say, “He’s crazy”, I always say the same thing back to them– “I’d hang out with him”. haha He seems cool. Like the article said, he’s interactive with everybody. He could easily act like he was better than everyone else, but he doesn’t. He’s a great guy… I look forward to the day that I’ll get to work with him. :)

    I have to say that Cameron is looking very professional in the Action film , and Tom , looks like you could play any part. I still recall Cameron as a young girl in Long Beach , CA , she was something special than. I was ever her teacher at one time.

    I think that was an awesome opportunity and to work in any film is a treat. Not an easy industry to crack and if you’re not American or don’t live in America its pretty much “Mission Impossible” :] Kudos to this ten year old! She should keep on doing what she’s doing. I’m not giving up either in spite of my age….Acting is timeless!
