Hey Guys, TC.com member Abby here!
One of the great things to celebrate with the upcoming Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz movie ‘Knight and Day’ is the reunion of Tom and Cameron. When I was watching ‘Vanilla Sky‘ during its initial release, I loved their onscreen chemistry, starting from their first scene together in the movie.
A picture paints a thousand words, as they say. This is an awesome shot of Tom and Cameron from the movie, and I can feel sparks jump off from this great photo of Tom and Cam:
If you were to ask me, “What is happiness to you?” (the tagline of ‘Vanilla Sky‘) I would say right now it would be seeing these two back on the big screen. This time, the film is not just pushing us to the edge of our seats in suspense and crying along, but also pushing us to the edge of our seats, crying and laughing along. In ‘Knight and Day,’ we will witness Tom and Cameron’s romantic tension as they run away with each other as fugitives after meeting on a blind date. I’m a fool for love-hate romantic tandems similar to the team-up created in ‘Knight and Day.’ Different as night and day, yet totally inseparable!
Matt Holmes of ObssessedWithFilm.com writes about the “powerful chemistry” of Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz on film. I couldn’t have said it better myself:
“There’s something powerful about the chemistry between Cruise and Diaz. They share the spotlight the same way Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman used to. Rarely do you get chemistry so magnetic these days. Not even Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, in the midst of two of God’s perfect creatures falling in love with each other, could they conjure up the same kind of atmosphere.”
This is certainly one more of the millions of reasons for me not to miss Tom and Cameron’s reunion in ‘Knight and Day,’ opening in theaters July 2, 2010. When love and chemistry (and Tom) is in the air, you’ll be sure I’ll be there!
