MI:3 Director Turns to TV Comedy

J.J. Abrams, director of ‘Mission: Impossible III‘ starring Tom Cruise, is joining up with writer Mike Markowitz on a half-hour comedy for TV.

Abrams, who is the co-creator and executive producer behind sci-fi drama “Fringe” on Fox, will be the executive producer behind this untitled project. So far, the only info released on the premise is that it’s a “comedic medical show,” according to Hollywood Reporter.

While Abrams is busy with television projects (he’s still executive producer on the hit TV show “Lost”), he and Cruise have been busy looking to produce a fourth movie in the “Mission: Impossible” movie franchise.

Wishing J.J. Abrams and Mike Markowitz much success on their half-hour comedic medical show. Looking forward to seeing this comedy. I am also looking forward to a fourth ‘Mission Impossible’ from producer J.J. Abrams. The three previous MI movies were a thrill indeed!
