Tom Cruise is lending his voice for his friend Rick Hendrick by narrating a documentary about Hendrick Motorsports. The history of Rick Hendrick’s 25 years in NASCAR, including never-before-seen footage, will air before coverage of the Sprint Cup Series race in California.
How does Tom know Hendrick? The two became friends after the car owner helped consult on the racing film ‘Days of Thunder.’ Tom’s even been guests at some of Hendrick’s race in the past several years.
Tune in October 11 on ABC to watch “The Hendrick Motorsports Story,” and in the meantime, don’t just listen to Tom talk about cars — watch him race ‘em in the ‘Days of Thunder’ movie trailer, or check out the ESPN video where Tom talks about his love of racing.
