‘Valkyrie‘ director Bryan Singer is ready to take on his next film! Variety reports that he will be producing and developing the Warner Bros. picture ‘Excalibur,’ and may possibly take over as director on the project. The movie would be based on the stories of King Arthur, the wizard Merlyn, the Knights of the Round Table, and the quest for the Holy Grail. However, since no writer has been assigned yet, nothing’s for certain.
Meanwhile, it seems as though the film may have to take a backseat, as Singer is gearing up for his next job as director in the New Line-Legendary co-production, ‘Jack the Giant Killer,’ an inventive take on Jack and the Beanstalk. And there’s also talk of him developing and directing a feature version of ‘Battlestar Galactica’ at Universal, not to mention the idea that he might return back to the X-Men franchise.
Cruise starred in Singer’s ‘Valkyrie,’ which detailed the true events of Col. Claus von Stauffenberg and the 20 July plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler during World War II. Check out video clips and filming locations of the movie on the Tom Cruise timeline.
