Tom Cruise Video: A Few Good Men

Col. Jessep: You want answers?

Kaffee: I want the truth!
Col. Jessep: [shouts] You can’t handle the truth!

This famous movie quote, of course, comes from the military courtroom drama ‘A Few Good Men,’ written by Aaron Sorkin and directed by Rob Reiner. Boasting an all-star ensemble cast, including actors Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson, Demi Moore, Kevin Pollak, Kevin Bacon, J.T. Walsh, Kiefer Sutherland, and Noah Wyle, the film was nominated for four Academy Awards and five Golden Globe Awards, including Best Picture. Cruise was also among the nominees for Best Actor for his role in the movie.

The facts: LCDR JoAnne Galloway (Moore) learns about the case of two Marines, PFC Louden Downey and LCpl Harold Dawson, who are accused of murdering another Marine in their unit, PFC William T. Santiago, at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba. The case is assigned to LTJG Daniel Kaffee (Cruise), a U.S. Navy lawyer known for out-of-court settlements. When it becomes clearer that someone ordered a “code red” (meaning a violent hazing), Kaffee and Galloway must determine whether Colonel Nathan Jessup (Nicholson) has played a larger role in the incident, and consequently, the person behind the order that resulted in Santiago’s death.

From the Tom Cruise movie timeline, here’s the scene with that memorable quote:
